The Paper

The Sun City News is the only independently owned and locally produced newspaper in the region. According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the Bulter, Yanchep to Lancelin coastal area is one of the fastest growing regions in Australia. The paper is produced every second Tuesday and home delivered free to over 5,300 homes in Butler, Yanchep, Two Rocks, Woodridge, Lancelin, Nilgen, Wannamal and Gingin. The paper's circulation continues to grow as the population increase. The Sun City News promotes local news, sports, communtiy events and personalities. Reports from all local council meetings are featured in every edition. Regular features include real estate, arts, dining and entertainment, gardening, weddings, health and lifestyle.

The Market

Butler, Yanchep and Two Rocks are the most northern metropolitan suburbs, yet only 45 to 60 minutes from the Perth CBD. This area is primarily residential homes with local suburban shopping centres with a growing industrial area at Neerabup, that will exceed 1,000 hectares in size.

The $20 billion Yanchep Satellite City project is only two years into a 30 year timetable. This development is the largest single metropolitan residential development in the southern hemisphere.

An estimated 155,000 new residents and 55,000 homes will be constructed including a university, technology park, hospital and one of the biggest shopping centres in Western Australia.

The shire of Gingin stretches from the popular coastal towns of Guilderton, Seabird, Ledge Point and

Lancelin inland to the Greater Gingin. This area is known for its agricultural diversity - Olives, wine grapes, grain, vegetable growing, strawberries throught o sheep, cttle and pigs.

Two Rocks, Guilderton, Seabird, Ledge Point and Lancelin are heavily involved in the fishing industy including the world famous Western Rock Lobster industry.

Hobby farming and rural residential estates can be found at Ocean Farms, Seaview, Redfield Park,

Sovereign Hill, Woodridge, SeaTrees, Marchmond and Honeycombe.

Tourism is extensive across the entire region.
