The Paper The Eyre Peninsula Tribune is the oldest continually published newspaper on Eyre Peninsula, and has provided the best source of detailed local news and information since 1911.
The Eyre Peninsula Tribune is proudly parochial and reports on everything, from vital issues that affect the local community and detailed information pieces, to community news and light-hearted humour.
The Tribune also prides itself on its detailed sports coverage from the wide range of events happening within the area each week.

The Market The Eyre Peninsula Tribune circulates throughout Eastern Eyre Peninsula which encompasses around 14,000 square kilometres, including five major towns.
The region, which has largely been reliant on the agriculture industry, is experiencing huge growth in aquaculture and tourism, and is about to become involved in power production through wind farms.
At Cowell, some of the State’s finest oysters are grown in Franklin Harbour and fin-fish farming is about to add to the town’s aquaculture industry.
Arno Bay now houses the largest fin-fish hatchery in the Southern Hemisphere, which, coupled with grow out cages off the shoreline, produce thousands of tonnes of fish for export annually. Further leases are also being sought and projections for the township say population will double in the next five years. Recreational fishing has always been well known to locals within the area, but outsiders are now picking up on the potential and are helping to boost tourism numbers.
Eyre Peninsula produces one third of the State’s total grain exports, including wheat, barley, canola and oats as well as prime lambs, wool and cattle and recent good seasons have put the sector in a good financial position.
Median housing prices in the region rose by an average 12 per cent in 2001 as the demand for housing new employees as well as tourists and retirees increased.
The region was developed nearly 125 years ago and is continuing to grow through new industries and the consolidation of the old.
