The Guyra Argus with a circulation of 800 is read by almost every household in Guyra, a reflection of its strong involvement with its local community.


The Guyra Argus is circulated in an area which is on top of the Great Divide from Black Mountain to Ben Lomond, and to the west of Tingha. The altitude is 1,380 metres and the area has rich basalt soil. The main industries are fine wool, sheep, fat lambs and beef cattle. The population of Guyra is 2,000. It is known as the town on Top of the Range and has the highest Caravan Park, Bowling Club and Golf Club in Australia.
